Outlook:
Plus Cara continues to strengthen its restaurant chains by providing a greater assortment of food choices to the consumer and by broadening the range of its operations. With the recent sale of its Beaver Foods division, Cara has proven that it can create shareholder value internally. MinusCara faces greater competition in the foodservices industry with the ever increasing presence of the US based chains as well as from its Canadian based competitors. With the slowdown in the economy, Cara's future sales may suffer as fewer Canadians choose to "dine out".
